Good to see this back! What CAD software is that? Asking for a parent
As a very slow CADer (absolutely 100% unrelated to my usage of freeCAD) I’m in awe of both the quantity and quality of your CAD doodles. Some weird and wonderful stuff in there. Couple of things:
- Exactly how big is that biiiig boi? I’m curious how many Fatal Deviations would fit inside it.
- When it comes to welding up a new shell for Sugarrr, let me know if you need a hand - I had a good look at the cracked shell at Bognor and I think I have some ideas to help future versions not crack at the join.
Also, @Kraken4me, if you zoom in to 100% the window title bar says it’s the free version of Autodesk Fusion. It’s worth looking at if you’re picking a CAD package to learn.
haha thanks, they are mostly unusable for actually making the bot. i tend to do a rough model first then go back and refine it if its something i actually want to build
- biiig boi is 445x350x172. although its basically wet tissue paper so i think most bots could just drive straight through the side walls
- ah thanks yeah ill let you know, main plan at the moment is just to throw more steel at the problem and actually weld all the surfaces
