Was trawling through the forum in bed the other day and noticed how many people were part of teams of multiple people.
Out of curiosity, share your story behind how you met your current teammates!
University peers, coworkers, maybe you met them at a previous event?
I’m interested to know teams tend to form.

I’d say most people are only in teams for the larger robots (featherweight and heavyweight) as they cost more, often take longer to work on and often need multiple people to carry.
A lot of people will have met in the scene going to events, there are also quite a few uni teams that meet at their society and come compete together. I’ve personally been on teams for both those reasons

Makes sense!
Sadly my alumni robotics team is only doing antweight for this year, which is a little too small for me, currently working on learning FreeCAD to design a beetleweight i’ve been speccing out on paper so far.
Looking forward to bringing it to some events in the future, fingers crossed.
