How old is a robot?

I have a strange question for you guys. Seal Of Approval is approaching it’s 12th event, and I’ve stumbled upon a dilemma. Do you measure a robot’s age by when it’s parts were bought (unlikely), when it was completed or by when it first saw combat? This really is a weird question (I warned you) but one that someone had to ask eventually.

If I don’t get an answer, how am I suppose to know when to 3D print a birthday hat for my boi.

i usually go by when it was finished. since some bots dont see action till way later.

or some do when the cad is done, if the bot never saw the light of day
