I’m currently rebuilding my FW bot, and it’s occurred to me that it may have a weapon setup not previously used in robotic combat (probably for good reason).
The weapon is a hammer that resembles a rolling pin (ish) that swings through 360° and is mounted on two arms (motion and mounting similar to the lifters used by Breaker Box and DUCK!); the ‘business end’ of the hammer also acts as a roller.
I am aware that Daisy (Robot Wars Series 3) had an overhead weapon similar to this, but it is unclear if it could travel through 360°. So, has this ‘rolling hammer’ weapon ever been used before?
NB - I am not looking for recognition that I ‘did it first’, I just want to know if there’s anything out there that’s anything like what I’ve created.
