Hey all! Been meaning to advertise for a while.
I’m offering a machining service for almost any non-hardened metal or plastic. I have both a lathe and mill and the capability to cut custom threads, make precision bolt patterns, curved features on milled parts, precision diameters, etc. I can also cut keyways, which are a great choice if you’re sick of your grubscrews coming out!
Some examples for your robot might be:
-A custom drum or beater made from aluminium 6061
-Steel gearbox plates with precision holes for press-fit bearings
-A custom titanium spinner shaft with flats, shoulders or other features for holding it in place
-Machining on an existing gear or pulley to make it fit, or add extra mounting features
I have a small stock of material on-hand, but of course I can order in whatever material you require. I mostly machine:
-Mild steel
-Unhardened carbon/alloy steel
-Stainless steel
-Aluminium
-Brass
-Titanium
-HDPE
-Limited machining on Hardox (think bearing diameters or hole countersinks)
I can also CNC machine HDPE parts within a certain size (around 300x200mm is probably my maximum). If you know what you want but aren’t comfortable with CAD, I can work with you to make a 3D model from 2D sketches or other design specs, to make the part you need.
Chances are you already have a 3D printer, but if you don’t, I can print PLA+ and TPU 95A, with a plan to add more materials in the future.
Finally, I offer an ESC flashing service. I cannot flash every ESC but I have flash tools for Atmega, SiLabs and smaller Afro-like ESCs. So if you want SimonK or BLHeli on your ESC for reversing motor direction, or turning on/off braking, let me know!
