Receiver issues fs2a

I am new to battle bots and over the last year I have been building my bot Pyro I have had 2 different occasions when my receiver failed and I like to get some advice about how to fix it or stop it from happening

This is the receiver I am using it is a FS2A-4CH receiver

Hi Simon,

Welcome to the forum. When you say they keep failing, what actually happens with them. They just stop working over time? Or is it when something specific happens.

It would also be good to see how they’ve wired in and how they’re supported in the robot. Are they sourced from BBB or local UK vendors or direct from China?

It just stops working all of a sudden when I was testing the electronics and controls due to this it has not been put in the bot yet and they are sourced from BBB

Would be great to see more of how you are connecting the receiver to check wiring - these guys can be quite specific about voltages and the way things are plugged into them so if you have any pics of your full circuit that’d be really helpful!

Here’s a photo of my full circuit wired in with the battery and a circuit diagram

Also when I turn it on the motors just keep buzzing and I have no control

Hi Simon! Thats a nice looking start on your beetle, those double wheels are very interesting

You have the ground and signal wires the wrong way round

Ground should be connected to the bottom pins (the ones closest to the board) and signal to the top

Thanks, it works now

Glad to hear!

Would lastly just recommend based on your wiring diagram to change the position of your LED - it’s unlikely to enjoy so much current being pushed through it! Stick it on its own parallel branch as you have your ESCs and BEC :slightly_smiling_face:
