Interesting clutch going on there - even if it didn’t work (?) Was it just plastic deformation around the simple spline providing the clutch action? Suitably cheeky either way.
Was a 64D TPU (AMS TPU) is a lovely material that I have found an abundance of uses for. But wall it can do the job lovely the deformable nature of it only goes so far. The gear teeth were going before the clutch piece ticked over in the HDPE keyed feature in the neck. Would probably of worked with a better (shallower) angle on the features. But didn’t get the time to test and played it safe with it being able to not slip when self righting, will try this profile again in some slightly softer TPU at some point and might just pare it up with a HDPE gear like the old system.
