Sale fino - supplexer at the first italian antweight tournament!

Hello everyone, long time lurker of the UK robot fighting scene we (with @La_Robottega ) were finally able to organize the first antweight tournament at maker faire 2024!

My love for control bots didn’t allow me to drive a spinner so my choice was: A supplexer! to be more specific a 150g version of my 300g design i used in the first destructive event in nothern italy some months ago, here dad an son together:

Sale fino (table salt, fine salt) 150g and sale (salt) 300g (pun in the word “sale” sah-leh meaning both salt and “to go up” in italian )

the idea behing this design is customising a brushless in order to obtain a true supplex, ideally lifting the whole robot in the air like the 300g sale was able to do:

from sale fight videos ( https://youtu.be/exXzjxg2bJg?si=vIj4YPKHsrKfZ5mz)

so in order to translate the mechanism to 150g i decided to clone the repeat mini gearbot at home with 1204 5000kv and 22.51 16mm planetary, mated with a 3dprinted adapter

unfortunately all the weight went into the big reduction and electronics and i was left with full plastic robot even if using n10 and malenki. Esun pla-st forks and drivetrain (gray) and 97a tpu frame (white) did serve me well but some improvement have to be made to survive spinners, fight results were quite good nonethless getting 3rd place with 3 wins and 2 JD loss in a double elimination bracket with 14 robots

At maker faire i was able to bring a supplexer and a grabber module (plan against horizontals) but more is on the way for the next antweight tournament in sovramonte december 7th https://robowar.innovationfairesovramonte.com/

some higher quality pic of the robot in arena

grabber module used against “la cosa” @La_Robottega, due to lack of spares

well timed grab during pit openting against out flipper kit bot (felt a little evil defeating one of my creation this way)

new modules incoming incluing a ti forked lifter and if i can find the weight an hammersaw module with @TeamCroc 30mm blades and a 1103

Thanks for coming to post on the forum  Aaah such a cool bot! Love the brushless gearmotor at 150g scale, that’s quite unusual
Love the Italian scene, you guys are doing great stuff so far!!

gotta echo Joe’s sentiments - amazing robot and its great to see this new scene cropping up in italy

I’m a long time grab and lift/suplex fan and this is a fantastic approach
