You can try it and it shouldn’t do any harm, provided you don’t mix up the positive and negative.
It depends how good the AA cells are, but if they are decent then I guess they will supply enough current for a non-spinner.
AA (primary) cells have a much higher internal resistance than a lipo pack, so you can expect generally worse performance. However, they also have a lot more capacity than the small lipo packs, so it will run for ages.
NiMH cells are nominally 1.2 volts so 4 might not be enough, although you could use 5 or 6 cells in that case.

I ended up trying it and it worked apart from one thing. My motors spin backwards but they are wired correctly to the esc. is there a way to change it on the transmitter (flysky fsi6)
You can either swap motor polarity or reverse the channels in your transmitter menu.
