Trying to assemble my bot kit. When i supply power to ch1 of the reciever to bind, the light flickers as im plugging it in and doesn’t turn on. Any help with troubleshooting binding or tips on how to use the reciever is greatly appreciated

Just some rough troubleshooting questions to get started with a diagnosis:
Are you using the stock RX that came with the transmitter?
What battery/power source are you using?
Is it charged?
Has the system been bound & working before or is this setup?
Will it enter bind mode?
Does the problem persist if you power a different channel?
Picture or video of your setup may help too!
Im using a 6V NiMH battery pack. This is the first time im trying to set everything up. Im using the reciever that came with my controller.

Does it enter bind mode with the bind plug in?
All that happens when i go to bind is the light turns on momentarily but remains off
Odd!
I’d try just the battery into the Rx (mind your polarities) and the bind plug in the bind slot.

Are you able to measure the voltage on the battery?
It’s a 6 volt pack, and the 5 volt regulator (BEC) on the dual ESC will need something a little above that to work correctly.
The battery voltage sagging under load to below 5 volts might explain the LED coming on for just a moment.
