Y2K - Straight From The 2000s

(Yes To Killing)

Starting now, all of my robots will have logos! Hooray!

Anyways, I had a recent revelation. Polycarbonate was THE STUFF back in the late 90s-00s. Hell, even on Robot Wars, most robots were covered in the stuff. What does this have to do with this new robot using repurpoused electronics from a failed clone? Polycarbonate will be the armour of this new ant, which is far from elegant. To offset its horrid ground clearance on the wedge, I will “weld” a triangular piece of polycarb to it.

Next update is when I cut my polycarb into the correct shapes with baselines coming from The Tina 2 Printer.

Change of plan, it’ll be made of white PLA+. I discovered it would be too counterintuitive to make it out of polycarb. No worries, I’ll just make it look like its something straight out of the '00s.

Drives weirdly, and Team Run Amok's Combat Robot Mixer Troubleshooter says it has to be rewired. Or mixing is off.

In other news, I’m thinking of making it a lifter.

(like this, but the second of its archetype in its weightclass)

Why second? The first one’s competing on the 20th.

Can’t edit the previous post, but it works now! Turns out, Mixing wasn’t on.

It’s also a Modulant Clone as opposed to a Jelly Baby clone.

Right now, all I need are some ST Servo screws.

Will update when I get some TPU.

Hope to see you in whiteboards on the 20th.
